How the burn is calculated
Burnt supply is the launch supply minus the current supply. On Solana, burning tokens reduces the total supply recorded on the token mint, so the current supply can be read directly from the blockchain. The percentage is burnt divided by 1,000,000,000. With the mint authority revoked, supply can only stay the same or go down. See token burning explained and mint and supply.
What revoked authorities mean
- Mint authority revoked: nobody can create new QNT, so supply cannot be inflated.
- Freeze authority revoked: nobody can freeze your QNT token account.
- Metadata update authority revoked: the name, ticker and metadata cannot be edited. That is also why the Quantinuum name stays as it is, even though the token has no link to Quantinuum Ltd.
Learn to check these yourself in the Solscan verification guide.
What the numbers do and do not imply
- A lower supply does not by itself raise the value of each token. Value depends on demand and liquidity.
- Revoked authorities remove some technical risks, but not market risk, liquidity risk or the chance of copycat scams.
- A burn figure says nothing about team plans, because this site claims no team, roadmap or utility.
- Large holders can still sell. Check holder distribution and see what tokenomics covers.
Where QNT trades is covered in trading and liquidity. Holder count is 885 as of 2026-10-11.
Not financial advice. Memecoins are highly speculative.
A worked example of the arithmetic
Suppose a token launched with 1,000,000,000 units and an explorer shows a current supply of 990,000,000. The burnt amount is 1,000,000,000 minus 990,000,000, which is 10,000,000, and the burnt share is 10,000,000 divided by 1,000,000,000, or 1 percent. These are made up numbers for practice. For QNT, the live values are 944,262,562 current, 55,737,438 burnt and 5.57% as of 2026-10-11. Because QNT has 6 decimals, the raw on-chain integer is one million times the displayed figure, which is why explorers divide by 1,000,000 before showing it. A burn is also not the same as sending tokens to a dead address: a true burn lowers the recorded supply, while a transfer to an unspendable address leaves supply unchanged.
Authority comparison
| Authority | What it could do if set | QNT status |
|---|---|---|
| Mint | Create new tokens and raise supply | Revoked |
| Freeze | Freeze a token account so it cannot transfer | Revoked |
| Metadata update | Edit the name, ticker and metadata | Revoked |
The Solana documentation describes the mint authority as the account authorized to create new units and the freeze authority as the account that can freeze tokens in a token account. Authority status was checked on-chain on 2026-10-08. You can repeat the check yourself at any time.
Common mistakes
- Treating a burn percentage as a quality score. It is just arithmetic on supply.
- Confusing supply with market value. A token with a huge supply can still have a small market, and the reverse.
- Forgetting decimals when reading raw numbers from tools or code.
- Assuming revoked authorities cover every risk. Liquidity, concentration and scams remain.
- Relying on a screenshot of supply. The number changes when tokens are burnt, so read the chain.

Frequently asked questions
What is the launch supply of QNT?
1,000,000,000 QNT with 6 decimals.
How is the burnt amount calculated?
It is the launch supply minus the current on-chain supply. The current figure is 55,737,438 burnt as of 2026-10-11.
Can the supply of QNT increase?
No. The mint authority is revoked, so the supply can only stay the same or decrease through burns.
Does burning make QNT more valuable?
Not automatically. Burning reduces supply, but price depends on demand and liquidity.
What does a revoked freeze authority mean?
The token creator cannot freeze your QNT account or stop you from transferring it.
Why can the QNT name not be changed?
The metadata update authority is revoked, so the name and ticker are permanent.
Is a burn the same as sending tokens to a dead wallet?
No. A burn reduces the supply recorded on the mint. A transfer to an unspendable address leaves the supply figure unchanged.
Why does the raw supply look a million times larger on some tools?
The token has 6 decimals, so the stored integer is one million times the displayed amount.
Can burnt QNT be recovered?
A burn permanently removes tokens from supply, and with the mint authority revoked no new tokens can be created to replace them.
Does a revoked authority make QNT safe?
It removes specific technical powers only. Market, liquidity and scam risks remain.
